See scan – perfect condition. This is one of the rarest types of the Bulgarian Royal Bravery orders decoration. The 1941 Bravery order soldier cross decoration has been struck in an extremely low circulation and was awarded to only 281 German soldiers and non-officer staff for great bravery in the fights of Greece Macedonia – Greek front, as well as to no more than 15 Bulgarians during the war at the Serbia / Yugoslavia front. All of these were divided into 4 Grades – 4th Grade was silver with long ribbon, 3rd Grade was silver with cross like ribbon, 2nd Grade was gold plated / gilt silver with long ribbon and finally 1st Grade was again gold plated / gilt silver with cross like ribbon. The total number of orders minted was 100 pieces of each grade, i.e. about 400 pieces in a total, but I have no information a 1st Grade to be ever awarded. Only about 7 or 8 sets are known to remain to exist in private collections, the National Military History Museum as well as the Central Military Archive. The Bravery soldier 1941 cross offered now is of the 3rd Grade type. No matter which Grade, all of these are extremely scarce and impossible to obtain. This is the FIRST time ever I have ever had these for sale or even see them in person. They were not extensively used and awarded during the war due to King Boris III death in 1943, when everything changed. This order is a true gem for any collection.
