Item description:

See scan - perfect condition for this scarce and absolutely rare set. This is a spectacular set of Imperial Russian Royal order of St. Andrew the First-Called star cufflinks. This was Russia highest decoration and the awarded person received many companion awards like porcelain services, etc. and probably including this set of cufflinks. The cuffs are in the form of the star of the order and are made in gold, silver and enamel. There are no hallmarks, but most likely made by special order of the Palace or by the company that originally made the St. Andrew orders. This is the first time we see such a scarce set of Russian cufflinks offered for sale. Absolutely scarce militaria / military collector group and one of the rarest Imperial Russian antiques and military related set offered for sale. The cufflink stars are heavy and have a diameter of about 21 mm and have perfect detail and enamel work. Similar cuffs would sell in the $7K range at other auctions.
