See scan – absolutely perfect condition. This is an extremely scarce and rare Bulgarian Royal WWII NAVY / Marine Admiral Variklechkov Zweispitz / Bicorn / Bicorne Napoleon style like hat / cap. Admiral Warikletschkov is the first Bulgarian Royal Army / Navy admiral during the time and era of King Boris III and served as a supreme commander of the Bulgarian fleet during WWII while Bulgaria was a NAZI Germany war ally. The bicorn zweispitz hat comes in its authentic leather case with original keys, as well as the admiral’s tag attached to handle. The text on top is – JWAN WARIKLETSCHKOV – KONTERADMIRAL HEF DER KONIGLICH BULGARISCHEN. The hat itself is made in a perfect craftsmanship from the finest leather and has two silver threaded gold plated / gilted portapees at both ends of the hat, as well as the King Boris gold plated button at one side. The hat also has an embroidered ribbon along its edge with anchor motifs in black color. Everything is in absolutely perfect condition except for one of the locks of the case, which has to be repaired a bit as it doesn’t lose properly. This Bulgarian NAVY highest ranking officer piece of uniform accessory is one of the rarest items, as there had been no more than 5 or 6 such hats produced for the Bulgarian Army during this period and this piece was mainly used in parades and or other official gatherings. A similar Zweispitz hat of the NAZI German Admiral Hermann Boehm was offered for sale at a recent Hermann Historica auction and sold for almost $3000… Absolutely scarce and rare military / militaria collector piece and one of the rarest Bulgarian NAZI WWII era uniforms and accessories.
