Item description:

See scan - perfect condition. This is an antique end of 19th century or start of 20th great men's 14 karat solid gold ring with a great agate or carnelian gem stone masterly hand engraved and cut cameo portrait of a Roman Emperor or soldier showing a portrait and bust in Roman style uniform. The cameo carving is of highest quality and is done in a very deep manner - could easily be used as a great wax seal as well. The top of the portrait is masterly matted to provide the best possible contrast of this extreme jewel. The cameo itself is about 16 mm by 13 mm. Absolutely scarce collector antique jewelry piece and one of the best vintage cameo jewels we've had for sale.
